There was a time when love was the only thing that mattered to Emily. She had always been a romantic at heart, and from the moment she met Jack, she knew that he was the one for her.

Jack was everything Emily had ever wanted in a man – strong, kind, and fiercely loyal. They fell deeply in love, and before long, they were inseparable.

They spent their days exploring the rolling hills of the countryside, and their nights wrapped in each other’s arms, gazing up at the stars. It seemed that nothing could ever come between them.

But fate is a fickle thing, and it wasn’t long before their happily ever after was torn apart. Jack was drafted into the army, and before Emily knew it, he was shipped off to fight in a far-off land.

The Kiss of Death: I will always love you, my love, until the end of time

She waited for him, praying for his safe return, but as the months dragged on, her hope began to fade. She knew that the chances of him coming home were slim, but she refused to give up.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Jack returned home. But he was not the same man Emily had fallen in love with. The horrors of war had left their mark on him, and he was a shell of his former self.

Emily tried her best to support him, to help him heal, but it was no use. The damage had been done, and there was nothing she could do to bring him back.

As the years passed, Emily watched as the man she loved slipped further and further away from her. She knew that he would never be the same, and that their love would never be the same.

One day, as Emily sat by Jack’s bedside, watching him slip away, she finally let go of the hope that had kept her going all these years. She knew that it was time to say goodbye.

As Jack took his last breath, Emily leaned down give him the Kiss Of Death and whispered in his ear, “I will always love you, my love. Until the end of time.”

And with that, Emily’s heart was shattered, as the love of her life slipped away from her forever. She knew that she would never find happiness again, and that she would always carry the weight of that loss with her for the rest of her days.
